About Us

The Warwick Education Foundation is proud to present the sixth annual Lititz Storytelling Festival. This popular event was founded by Brenda Burkholder and David Worth. After five years of tireless effort and steady growth, Brenda, Dave and their family, developed the Lititz Storytelling Festival into a premiere showcase of the art of storytelling, that received the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Spotlight Award from the National Storytelling Network. The Warwick Education Foundation is honored to have been asked to “take the reins”, and continue to build upon Brenda and Dave’s vision and success!

The 2017 Lititz Storytelling Festival features exuberant stories of growing up by Bill Harley; powerful First Nation stories by Dovie Thomason; mesmerizing legends and ancient tales by Daniel Morden; classic folk tales with an “Affrilachian” twist by Lyn Ford; and hilarious, heartfelt stories by Andy Offutt Irwin.

All storytellers will perform at three concerts and will present different stories at each concert. These very popular, professional storytellers will also conduct workshops, where you can learn from the masters, and improve your storytelling skills. Or you can sign up for the Story Swap, and present your own story! The Story Swap is open to all levels of experience.

The Lititz Storytelling Festival has something for everyone – from teens to senior citizens, college students to families. And Lititz is the perfect place to experience the captivating art of storytelling. We invite you to come for the weekend, to relax and explore our award-winning community (LititzPA.com). And to experience the wit, wisdom and wonder of exceptional storytelling!
